LITTLE CHURCH
Started in 1991, it serves the Sunday 10.30 Mass. Its aim is to teach children of primary school age Bible stories and basic prayers. The children leave Mass at the reading of the lessons and return at the offertory.
SOCIETY OF ST VINCENT DE PAUL
An international organisation founded in France in 1833 for the help of the needy, there has been an SVP Conference in Chertsey for many years. Poverty is not only financial - loneliness is experienced especially among elderly people and the sick, who need to share problems. SVP members are lay men and women, who meet twice monthly and try to spend an hour or so each week on visits and other society work.
SALESIAN CO-OPERATORS
The Salesian Co-operators were founded in 1876 by St. John Bosco to be “Salesians in the World” and so spread the distinctive Salesian spirit and charism in the family and workplace. We follow Don Bosco’s example of reason, religion and loving kindness. The members of our local group are drawn largely, but not exclusively, from St. Anne’s Parish. We serve as Eucharistic Ministers, readers, catechists, visitors of the sick, teachers..... and all are welcome to join us! The group meets at 7.30pm on the fourth Thursday of each month in Salesian House, usually starting with Mass. For information contact Ina Coles (02082248242) or Jane Cummins (01932 560310).
ST ANNE’S WOMEN’S LEAGUE
The League meets the second Tuesday of each month at 8.00 pm at the Salesian House. Members help the Parish Priest, get involved in most parish activities and help one another in time of need. Some meetings are social and some are spiritual. There are several outings each year either to the theatre or to share a meal together. The ladies always take part in the Women’s World Day of Prayer and invite other parishes and other denominations to events.
